(with an opt. out option...)

Here's the buyers page:  https://www.bigstockphoto.com/partners/

Here's our news, which I'll assume everyone has received or will, via email. So the post is for opinions and comments. As usual I like it because it could mean more sales and more income.  :D But that's me.

Introducing the Bigstock Partner Program!

Dear <name>,

We'd like to let you know about a new partner program at Bigstock that will enable you to sell more of your images at our standard 30% commission rate. Our new partners include a group of email service providers, website design services, online ad builders and other companies that want to offer your photographs, vectors and illustrations for sale within their products and services. We understand the importance of knowing how your images are sold and we've designed this program with visibility in mind.

You will earn a 30% commission on all Bigstock partner sales. This is the same 30% commission percentage you earn today on Pay As You Go image sales. For example, if a partner pays $5.00 for an image you will earn $1.50 in commissions.

Me 2, race.  BS really needs any boost they can get.

Seems fine - the page they link to shows that the prices are the same as current cash prices (so no super low prices as part of the deal). I appreciate the opt out, but can't see why there'd be any downside to this vs. sales from their own site

They've been selling well for me the last couple of months so I started uploading there again. Let's hope it continues.

Nice to see a site with a partner program where you get the same amount as though it was sold on their own site. Who can complain about that (especially if it will lead to more sales)?

Just hope that the partner licenses are also the same as that on BS, else we will be loosing out again (and BS to its own partners as well).

Will also love to see a list of these partners, to make sure we are not already represented on it through other sites with lower prices or directly. Then you can forget to make any sales through the BS partnership (same image, but cheaper through other partner).

First impressions...

Telling us where the images are used so we know how and where: Cool
Re-licensed for each use:  a win for both us and BS
No commission cuts: Fair treatment for contributers
Allowing op-out: Classy move

Seems like the first time in a long time when an announcement of a new service didn't make me feel cheated right off the bat.  Sure wish I earned more at BS.  Maybe this will help.
